Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 28! Colorful Layered Fragments!

Today's Compendium of Curiosities Challenge was just what I needed to get me in gear and do up this Box that I've wanted to do for months.  I call it my "Tim Time Treasure Box"  :-)  I started with a large white Document Box from Walmart, a bottle of Glossy Accents and these supplies......

I spent the whole day working on this and finished about 15 minutes ago, I can't think of a better way to spend the day!  I used the Fragments on the top of the box, I hope they're showing up ok in the photo.   Here is the top of the box:

I used one large square Fragment, 1 Large Circle Fragment and 1 small circle Fragment.  Notice Tim's name beside the clock face?  Tim Time *snicker*
Here is the front of the box:

Fun with Tim Holtz Masks

I'm entering this tag into 2 challenges.  Studio L3's Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #27-Distress Misting Masks  and Simon Says Stamp and Show's -Show some Masking.

I used Ranger's #8 Manilla Tag, Distress Ink in Black Soot, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Fragments, The 14 Bingo Sticker from Tim's Idea-ology Seasonal Stickers, The Heart Mask (both the mask and the negative from the mask) in Tim's Seasonal Mask sheet, I cut the lock using Tim's Grungepaper and his Hardware Findings Die. The lock is inked up with Distress Inks in Black Soot, Brushed Corduroy, Crushed Olive, and Vintage Photo. I drew around the top heart with Antique Bronze Distress Stickles. The key, Rose and Lace are from my stash, the Love Ticket is from Tim's Adage, I made the Decorative Heart with Clay and covered it with Ranger Glossy Accents.  I adhered the Lock, Key, Heart, Lace, Rose and Ticket with Ranger Glossy Accents. I misted the Tag with Red Smooch and painted inside the solid heart with Ranger Perfect Pearls in Bronze.

Happy New Year!!

I must say, the older I get the faster the year goes by, so hard to believe we are in 2011!  We spent New Year's Eve and Day with Family, more eating, more laughing and more love.  Just the way to end a year and start the new one!  Everyone has gone home and it's just Hubby, myself and all the Critters here now...time for me to get busy with my Paper Crafting.  My hope for this year is to learn many new techniques, dive in and use up my stash and of course try some new up and coming goodies out.  I'm already anticipating hearing about all the great new stuff coming out at CHA..wish I could be a fly on the wall and see it all in person, oh who am I kidding? I wish I was there playing with all the new stuff!  I'm most anxious to see what T!m is coming out with.  The man is a creative GENIUS!

I have my "craft corner" (it's the foyer between the livingroom and diningroom LOL) almost fully organized and the work table empty and ready to mess up..hmmm what shall I do first???????????
