12 Tags of 2012 with Tim Holtz-May

I was worried I'd never get finished with this Tag...seems like this month is just flying by at a rapid pace!
If you aren't yet playing along with Tim Holtz and the 12 Tags of 2012, you might want to check it out here on his Blog.  I love all of Tim's Tags and really enjoy the challenge of trying to use the same theme or technique as him...there's always lots of improvising involved in my Tags which makes it twice as fun.  I didn't have a sewing pattern because I gave all of mine away a few years ago however I do have Tim's Crowded Attic papers and there are some lovely sewing themed papers in the Collection.  I cut one of those papers using Tim's Tag and Bookplate Die and adhered it to cardstock, then I distressed the edges of the tag and inked it up with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I also cut a few images out of one of the other sewing themed papers in Crowded Attic and inked their edges up. As I was waiting on my melting pot to heat up I remembered that I had some vintage sewing supplies that my dear friend Peggy gave to me and as usual I ended up going in a whole different direction than originally planned ;-)   I cut the mini dress from using Tim's Sewing Room movers and shapers die  and added a double loop crinkled ribbon bow. I took some of the vintage sewing supply packaging and inked up the edges and applied them in layers onto my tag. I added one of Tim's Hanger Clips adorned with one of his lovely Pearls to the side of the tag and then finished it off with a messy run of stitching with my sewing machine. I used a Ranger Collage Stick to adhere all of my papers together...I love love love the Ranger collage stick, in fact I think I'm on my third stick already LOL

Olde Curiosity Shoppe Mini Album

The Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge this week is "Anything Goes!"...of course that's my favorite type of challenge so I decided to make a mini album for it. This album is a little bigger than my hand and fits perfectly into my small purse..I love it!

I used Kraft Cardstock for the cover/spine and page bases. I used papers from the Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection, Ranger Distress Inks, Tim Holtz Idea-ology goodies, Tim Holtz Tissue Tape, Wendy Vecchi Blossom Bucket Eyeglasses, Crochet Cotton to bind the album and Seam Binding for the closure.
Here is the front cover:

A side view of the outside:

I also made 3 sections to keep track of my Crafting Wishlists, Notes and Ideas, RAKS and Swaps:

Anything but Square...JustRite Challenge

I was SO excited to see today's JustRite Friday Challenge because I just got this Vintage Cabinet Card Die a couple of weeks ago and was ready to play with it. I cut the card front using the Vintage Cabinet Die, adhered it to a piece of white Bazzill cardstock folded in half and then fussy cut it out.  I used the stamps from my StampRite Cardmaking Kit Stamp Set (love this set!) , Papers from the Graphic 45 Little Darlings Collection, Spellbinders Tear Drop Circles Dies, Want 2 Scrap Bling , Ranger's Archival Ink and ribbon from my stash.

Thinking of You...

The past 3 weeks have been very busy around here with 26 ducklings and 11 turkeys hatching so there hasn't been a lot of crafting time for me.  When I saw the Simon Says Stamp Challenge was Clean and Simple I just had to give it a go.  Have you checked out their fun and fabulous Challenges?

I used Bazzill Cardstock, Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Die, Spellbinders Bitty Blossom Die, and a Spellbinders Fancy Labels One Die. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival Ink in black with a stamp from Hero Arts'  Happy Everything Set, then inked the edges with Ranger Dusty Concord Distress Ink.  I adhered everything with Scor-Tape.
