12 Tags of 2012 with Tim Holtz- December

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I can't believe another year has come and gone...they seem to be flying right by me!  Do Ya'll find it sad when we get to the last of the 12 Tags like I do?  Doing the 12 Tags with Tim is the one crafting constants in my craft world, I always get so much inspiration from him and of course with each Tag I learn something and I love that.

If you happen to read this Tim, thank you VERY much for the ideas, the inspiration , the wonderful tools and supplies and for EVERYTHING you do for us crafters!

I loved both of the Tags Tim did, however I just wasn't able to get two finished.  I absolutely must get those Blueprint Stamps in the new year! If you haven't seen them, you MUST check out his Blog!  I chose to do the Poinsettia Tag for this month.  Again I did some improvising since I don't "yet" own the same supplies Tim has *snicker*.  I used a textured cardstock for my Tag base this time and like the way it turned out with the Stains :-)   I've listed all of the supplies I used below the photo.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Supplies I used:
Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplate Die

12 Tags of 2012 with Tim Holtz - November

Howdy, howdy, howdy!  I have had this Tag done for a couple of weeks now but been so busy re-installing programs and such on the computer as well as getting all of the critters ready for winter.  It's hard to believe it's getting near the end of November and we're still wearing our tee shirts outside!   Today my Husband and I built a highrise nesting box for my Muscovy ducks because they don't like sharing the duck house nest boxes with my other (non flying) ducks.

Ok, on to my Tag.  I don't have all of the supplies that Tim used, I think there has been one month in the last 3 yrs that I had all of the same supplies he used LOL   I improvised and I'm very happy with this pretty Fall Tag.   You really need to see Tim's though, it's beyond gorgeous! You can see it on his Blog, here.

I am "thankful" that my Husband helped me build the highrise nests, I never could have done it by myself.
I used Tim's Thanksgiving Texture Fade, then cut out the word Thankful and inked it up. I adhered it to my tag using the awesome Tiny Attacher...love that little stapler to bits!  I used Tim's Autumn Gatherings Sizzix Die to cut all of my leaves, branches and acorns using Tim's Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection by Core' dinations.  The stamps I used on the background are Tim's Flourish Stamp and his Mixed Media Stamp Set.  I inked everything up with Distress Inks in  Gathered Twigs, Vintage Photo and Dried Marigold. I also used Dried Marigold Distress stain on the background and to color my crinkled ribbon.  Everything was glued into place using Glossy Accents and Glue n Seal by Ranger.

Here is a full shot of the Highrise Nesting Box we built for my Girls.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone, and Happy Crafting!

12 Tags of 2012- October

I don't own any Tim Holtz Halloween stuff, or at least I didn't until I won a prize on Tim's Blog a couple of weeks ago :-)  Thank you SO much Tim, I love the papers, tinsel, muse tokens, chit chat stickers and bingo game pieces! Here's a photo of my prize (from Tim's blog)
I was worried I might not get this month's tag done because my laptop died on me 2 weeks ago. I will never buy a 17 inch HP again unless they start putting more powerful fans and graphic cards in them.  I'm back online now, still installing all of my programs and getting used to windows 7...I was a vista girl before LOL

On to my Tag...again THANK YOU to Tim and Mario for this awesome gift which I used to make my Tag. I also used Distress Ink in Black Soot and Vintage Photo along with Tim's Bookplate and Tag die.  Be sure to stop by Tim's Blog and check his out!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Rusty Canvas

I love rust, for years I've collected rusty metal items from barbed wire to old oil cans.  I was tickled to see the challenge on Simon Says Stamp and Show was RUST!  I made this altered 12x12 stretched canvas for my Best Friend. I used acrylic paints, distress inks, Tim Holtz Dies and lots of Tim Holtz Grungeboard to create this altered canvas. I think I need to make one for myself as well.   I'm entering this into the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge

Thank you for looking!

Hello Everyone and Happy Fall!!!  What a treat this cooler weather is :-)

I also used some Ranger Distress Inks, Ranger Distress Stains, Acrylic Paint and Ranger Glue and Seal.

I am submitting this project for the Simon Says Stamp Dies or Punches Challenge
