Still following Tim and his Tags!

I had such a blast doing this one!  I'm behind by a couple of tags (not including today's), but couldn't wait to post this one.  I don't have Tim's Snowman Die but I do have his Snowman stamp for the Mini Holiday's 2 Collection so I stamped him on grungepaper, painted him with acrylic paint and built him up.  I also used a Street Lamp Stamp that I have from another stamp company, and a little pinecone stamp I had in my stash.  I absolutely love his idea of recycling the packaging from his Dies. I've saved all of my packaging from Tim's products because it just looks so cool LOL  Well I stayed up late tonight (2a.m.) so I could see Day 12's Tag (sniff sniff, so sad it's the last day), and I need to get my self to bed since the Ducks, Horses, Dogs, Chickens and Cats will be ready for breakfast in a few hours.  Here's my version of the Day Ten Tag:

Day Five "Tim Tag" is finished!

I just couldn't wait to get started on this one, what a blast I had trying to recreate Tim's Tag and techniques with what I had on hand!  Here's the tag:

I don't have the same stamps that Tim used, however I do have his Mini Holiday set so I used them. I don't have the distress Stickles so used regular Stickles in Christmas Red and Green.  I don't have the Grungeboard Label that he used so I cut a label with Tim's Tag and Bookplate Die, used Tim's Design Ruler to help me slice it in half width ways, then I used a border strip of the music sheet paper from Tim's Lost and Found Paper Pad.  I don't have metal numbers or UTEE so I took Grungeboard numbers, painted them with 3 layers of Acrylic Paint then covered them with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. I gently pressed the powder down with my fingers, aimed the heat gun and let it do it's thing. The grungeboard numbers did curl slightly while the heat gun was on them but once they cooled they flattened back down.  Once they were dry I painted on a thin layer of black acrylic paint then gently rubbed most of it off with a damp cloth.  I didn't have any teeny tiny brads so I painted some half pearls with black acrylic paint and used them on top of the numbers.

This has turned out to be my favorite tag of all that I've made so far this week.  I was also thrilled to see that Tim used jingle bells..I've been itching to use my stash of rusty jingle bells on a tag :-)

Soooooooooo is it time for tomorrow's tag yet?

Following along with T!m

It's my favorite time of year again and I've been having so much fun following along with T!m Holtz and his 12 Tags of Christmas :-)   I don't own all of the supplies that Tim does so it's been a real challenge to use what's on hand in my stash.
Day 1 , Tag 1
Day 2, Tag 2
Day 3, Tag 3

Day 4, Tag 4
I cut all of my Tags using Tim's Tag and Bookplate Die which I just adore!  I've got a few Distress Inks, the handy dandy Ink Blending Tool (I use this tool daily and would be lost without it!), his mini Holiday Stamp Set, Stickles and a few of his Adage Tickets.  I'm going to have to ask Santa for some Alcohol Inks, Paint Dabbers, Seasonal Paper and Stickers, Cut and Dry Foam...oh what the heck, why not ask for Everything T!m LOL

I was feeling as if I'd never get into the Christmas mood this year which is strange for me since I'm one of those goofballs that would like to put the Tree up in July...but T!m and his Tags have given me my Christmas mood back woohoooooo!
